How to get rid of refrigerator odors. By Katie Haynes

Posted on: No Comments

Turn off the refrigerator, unplug it also.

Remove all food items and put them somewhere to keep cool. If you have another refrigerator to place them into that would be the best option for you. Otherwise, you can put them in Ice Chest/Cooler.

Mix 1/2 cup of Baking Soda into a sink of warm water. Remove all movable parts in the refrigerator and clean and dry thoroughly. Clean inside of the refrigerator and dry thoroughly before replacing parts back into it.  Plug back in and turn it back on.

Other options you can try first.

1. Open a box of Baking Soda and place into the refrigerator.

Or

2. Put an open cup of Vinegar into the refrigerator, it neutralizes smells.

Or

3. Put an bowl of Oats into the refrigerator to absorb the odors.

Or

4. Put a shallow bowl with Coffee Grounds in the refrigerator, it normally will take a couple days to get rid of the smell.  “This is my favorite option to do to get rid of an odor in the refrigerator.”
