A little tip from Doug (one of our amazing technicians) on how to make your ice maker produce ice faster!!

1.Lower the Freezer Temperature: the water in the ice tray freezes faster, triggering the tray thermostat to warm and release the ice, which starts the process all over again. To make your ice maker work faster, simply lower the freezer temperature by 3-5 degrees.
2. How does your door seal look: clean the freezer door gasket if it’s dirty. Cold air can seep out if the seal is torn or has cracks or is dirty.
3. Clean Out the Freezer: If you have too much food in your freezer, your refrigerator can’t circulate cold air properly, raising the internal temperature. Keep your freezer about 3/4 of the way full for the optimum temperature.
4. Change the Water Filter: A clogged refrigerator water filter can restrict water flow and cause slow ice production. Replace the water filter at least every six months to improve your ice maker’s speed.
