Able Appliance recommends cleaning your condenser coils once a a year. This is how you do it: take a soft bristle brush or use a coil brush (you can pick one of these up at any appliance parts supplier). Do not poke or use anything hard and abrasive on the coils. Always, use a a soft brush. You can also vacuum the coils just do this carefully. This will save years on your compressor.
